Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, the only VVIP to arrive late for Nitish Kumar's swearing in ceremony has finally reached the venue at the Gandhi Maidan in Patna.

Rahul missed the ceremony as his special flight was delayed due to bad weather and air traffic control did not allow it to land. By the time the plane landed in Patna, the ceremony was over but the Congress vice-president still wanted to go to the venue.

However, on the way to the venue, there was so much traffic that Rahul almost changed his mind and asked to be taken to Nitish's residence instead.

After 15 minutes, the traffic was cleared to make way for his convoy and Rahul finally reached the venue. He congratulated the Bihar CM and then went around and greeted the VVIP senior leaders present from almost every party. Another chair had to be brought in at the stage for Rahul. Ashok Choudhary, a Congress MLA, could not take oath of office as he was at the airport to receive Rahul Gandhi. There will be a separate swearing-in ceremony inside Raj Bhavan on Sunday.
