Paris attacks mastermind killed in St Denis raid, confirms France

CNN reports: France says that the Paris attacks mastermind Abdelhamid Abaaoud was killed in the raid at St Denis in the early hours yesterday. More than a 100 police officers and soldiers stormed an apartment building in Saint-Denis, a bustling suburb home to many immigrants, during a seven-hour siege that left at least two people dead.

The French government has now confirmed that the dead included the suspected overseer of the Paris bloodshed, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, and a woman militant who blew herself up.
