Family reaches pyre to pay final respects to Col Mahadik

A woman from Pogarwadi village tells NDTV that not a single person has eaten a morsel or even sipped on tea this morning to pay respects to Col Mahadik. She says one in 10 houses in Pogarwadi has somebody in the armed forces.

The colonel's mother breaks down as she is led to the funeral pyre where his body has now been laid. .
