'Dalai Lama's comments show ignorance on his part': Swamy

"The Dalai Lama's comments were uncalled for, it shows ignorance on his part," Subramanian Swamy said on Sunday referencing the Tibetan Buddhist leader's statement that the Bihar assembly election results were proof that the majority of Hindus were tolerant.

"India has a long tradition of peace and amity. The people of Bihar in the recent assembly polls have proved that a large section of the Hindu community still believes in peace and amity," the 14th Dalai Lama had said on Saturday without naming any political party or leader.
