'There is no reason for India to remain poor' PM Modi tells Indian Diaspora

"When I came here 12 years ago I was a CM, today I am among you with a new responsibility," PM Modi reminisced.

"There is no reason for India to remain poor, we harbor poverty for no reason," the prime minister said.

"Bhaarat jawani se bharaa desh hai, koi kaaran nahin ki hum gareeb rahe," PM Modi said referencing the substantial under-35 populace in India.
