Maggi may be back in Maharashtra, but for how long? The Maharashtra government will challenge the Bombay High Court order on Maggi in the Supreme Court, will seek a ban again.

Last week, a separate legal panel set to work out all the possible legal angles and is readying the case as the state government does not want the case to be quashed by the SC.

Minister for Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Girish Bapat Sunday said the state will honor the Bombay HC decision but a detailed study was being conducted for challenging the HC decision in the Supreme Court.

The state had decided to ban Maggi noodles in June after some samples were found to have lead content exceeding permissible limits. Gujarat and Karnataka have decided to lift the ban.

Meanwhile, Maggi announced its return with a vengeance at all retail retail outlets, saying, "Your favourite Maggi noodles is back".
