Will be gracious in victory, says Nitish ahead of a hat-trick win

Nitish Kumar soon to follow in the hat-trick lead of Narendra Modi (Gujarat), Jyoti Basu (West Bengal), Biju Patnaik (Odisha), Manik Sarkar (Tripura), Raman Singh (Chhattisgarh), Tarun Gogoi (Assam), as the next chief minister of Bihar.  Nitish tweeted saying he will be gracious in victory and thanks everyone for overwhelming support.

Meanwhile, the BJP's Parliamentary Board is likely to meet tomorrow to analyse the poll results in Bihar where the JD(U)-RJD combine has outshone the party-led NDA. According to sources, the board is likely to examine all the aspects and factors leading to the party's below par performance against the Nitish Kumar-led grand alliance.


Party leader and Union Minister Ram Kripal Yadav said it was for the top brass to analyse and introspect the reasons behind these results.


West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee says it is a win for tolerance.
