Pawan hans helicopter crashes in Bombay High

A pawan hans helicopter has crashed into the offshore oilfield Bombay High while carrying out night landing practice on the oil rig.

The last known position of the helicopter was 82 nautical miles west of Mumbai.

Two pilots have been reported missing and a full scale search and rescue operation has been launched by the Indian Navy.

The Destroyer INS Mumbai has been despatched to the area.

Two minor war vessels of IN already are also looking for survivors.
