The charred bodies of the daughter-in-law and three grandchildren of a former Congress lawmaker, Siricilla Rajaiah were found after a fire broke out at his residence this morning in Warangal in Telangana. A gas cylinder leak reportedly triggered the fire, which killed Sarika and her three sons - Abhinav, Ayan, Sriyan. Rajaiah was supposed to file his nomination papers for the Warangal Lok Sabha bye-election today on behalf of the Congress.

In April last year, Sarika had filed a case of dowry and even staged a sit-in outside her father-in-law's  house. She had also allegedly attempted suicide a month before that. Sarika married Rajaiah's son in 2002.
