Venkaiah to head Bihar results strategy team

The BJP leadership is meeting informally on November 6 in New Delhi after the final polling in Bihar ends. The results will be announced on November 8.


First on the agenda is working out a checklist for Bihar, which includes the date of convening newly elected MLAs in Patna, identifying  three observers to be deputed to Patna after poll results, positioning of leaders during the counting.


The tasks are being entrusted to Venkaiah Naidu and in fact, today, there was an informal meeting between Naidu and Arun Jaitley on the way ahead in Bihar.


The leaders also discussed the date for convening the winter session of Parliament. The mood  of the Cabinet committee on Parliamentary Affairs is to have a 10-day winter session.

Between the fifth phase polling on November 5 and the counting day on the 8th, the BJP government is expected to announce many reforms.
