Sahitya Akademi responds to protesting writers

The Sahitya Akademi has finally responded to the protesting writers by sending a letter requesting not to return awards.

The Akademi, pressurised by our movement, have called for solidarity. They have said, they are not against us but with us, said Bengali poet Mandakranta Sen.

I don't know about other writers but I am not taking my award back, Sen added.
