India finally being recognised as a global power: Smriti on Modi@1 talkathon

HRD Minister Smriti Irani speaking at the talkathon to commemorate Modi's one year in power, said that finally India was being recognised as a global power.

As part of the National Democratic Alliance government's media blitzkrieg to highlight achievements made during its one-year rule, three Union ministers -- Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani, Coal and Power Minister Piyush Goyal and Commerce Minister Nirmala Sitharaman -- are participating in a 90-minute talk.

Sitharaman speaking at the event said that the Modi government had brought in a corrupt-free governance and a transparency that was not seen before.
