Sonia targets Centre as she visits her constituency

In a tour of Rae Bareli, Congress President Sonia Gandhi today accused the Centre of showing apathetic attitude towards her constituency, days after Rahul Gandhi alleged that the Modi government was pursuing "politics of vendetta" against them.

Gandhi, who reached here this morning for a day-long visit, discussed with officials the progress of various development works in the area.

She did not make any comment but Uttar Pradesh's Cabinet Minister Manoj Kumar Pandey, who attended the meeting, said a resolution was passed at the meet. He said the resolution was proposed by him and read out by Sonia Gandhi.
