Ramdev's brother among 3 sent to judicial custody in clash case

Three persons, including Ramdev's brother Rambharat, were sent to 14 days' judicial custody even as seven more persons were arrested today in connection with the clash between security guards of yoga guru's Patanjali Herbal and Food Park and local union of transporters which left one dead. 

Haridwar's SP (City) Surjit said Rambharat and two other employees of Ramdev's firm were produced in the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Sandip Bhandari late last night who sent them to 14 days' judicial custody.

A clash had taken place yesterday between security guards of Ramdev's firm and members of a local union of transporters protesting for some time against the firm engaging truck operators from outside Haridwar for transporting its products in which one truck driver had been shot dead. Meanwhile, seven more persons have been arrested today in connection with the incident.
