MHA to move SC against order that ACB can arrest Delhi cops

The Home ministry will move the Supreme court against the Delhi High Court's order that the Delhi government's Anti Corruption Branch has jurisdiction to investigate and prosecute Delhi Police officials.

The MHA said that the high court cannot pass an order without hearing it.

The Delhi High Court had on Monday termed as "suspect" the Centre's recent notification barring Delhi government's Anti Corruption Branch from acting against its officers in criminal offenses and held that the Lt Governor cannot act on his discretion.
