Jayalalithaa sworn in as Tamil Nadu chief minister

All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam supremo J Jayalalithaa has been sworn in as the chief minister of Tamil Nadu for the fifth time at the Madras University Centenary Hall.   

Governor K Rosaiah administered the oath of office and secrecy to Jayalalithaa.   

On Friday, the Governor had invited Jayalalithaa to form the government after AIADMK leader O Panneerselvam submitted his resignation as chief minister of the state.   

IADMK MLAs had unanimously elected Jayalalithaa as their leader, thereby, paving way for her to become chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
