Jammu and Kashmir separatist leader Asiya Andrabi has slammed Salman Khan for saying he wanted cinema theatres to re-open in the Valley.

Speaking to media persons in Sonmarg today, Salman, who is the state to shoot Bajrangi Bhaijaan, said, "Everyone watches movies here. Cinema theatres should be re-opened here. We would love to premiere a film here if theatres are re-opened."

Andrabi, who belongs to the pro-Pakistan Dukhtaran-e-Milat,  said Salman was a murderer and condemned his statement saying she believed that cinema was like an evil which will trigger waywardness in society. Andrabi in a statement today said, "We can't allow the spread of vices in Jammu and Kashmir through Bollywood.'

Allah Tigers, now a defunct militant outfit, had embarked on moral policing bandwagon in 1989. Led by self-styled 'Air Marshal' Noor Khan, the militants had banned cinema halls and sale and consumption of liquor in 1989 when militancy started in Kashmir.

Salman tweeted a flurry of pictures saying he was in love with how beautiful the state was and urged producers to shoot here. He tweeted saying, "Kashmir nahi dekha toh Kya dekha kehtey hai kahin jannat hai toh woh idharich hai idharich hai idharich hai."
