PM@Fudan University: China has opened a door to Gandhi philosophies

Prime Minister Modi addressing students at the Fudan University in Shanghai after the launch of the Centre for Gandhian and Indian studies, says, "This is a historic moment for me. I have joined a 'pavitra' moment. Opening doors for business is easy, it is also easy to call tourists but to open the doors of knowledge, one needs great inner strength."

Speaking about opening of the Centre, he said, "Today yet again China has opened a doorway into philosophies of Gandhi, which I consider a landmark event."
