Nepal quake toll goes up to 29, injured 1006

CNN puts the figure at 29 dead in today's quake in Nepal. At least another 1,006 people in the country suffered injuries, according to Nepalese government information and communications ministry spokesman Minendra Rijal. In India, three more people died in a wall collapse in Bihar, India.


The magnitude 7.3 earthquake struck at a depth of about 15 kilometers, the US Geological Survey said, slightly revising its earlier estimates, of 7.4.


This was followed by a series of significant aftershocks, the strongest measuring magnitude 6.3, followed the initial larger quake.
