Mild tremors were experienced across Himachal Pradesh today after a strong earthquake measuring 7.3 on Richter scale epicentered in Nepal shook several states in North and East India.


However, no loss of life or property was reported so far from any part of the state. Tremors lasting ten to fifteen seconds were felt across the state at 12:35 pm, forcing people to move out of their offices and buildings.


Seventeen people were killed as a powerful earthquake measuring 7.3 on Richter scale with epicentre in Nepal today sent ripples through large parts of east and north India, including Delhi, less than three weeks after the region was struck by a devastating temblor.
