We are not dogs: Protesting pavement dwellers want 10 years for Salman

Meanwhile, pavement dwellers protesting outside the High Court as the bail hearing goes on, say they Salman should be sentenced to 10 years and not just five years. They said they were upset at being called dogs and pointed out that the help who worked for the Khan family were in fact homeless like them.

The protest is in response to singer Abhijeet's tweet on Wednesday in teh immediate aftermath of the conviction when he posted: "Roads are meant for cars and dogs not for people sleeping on them.. @BeingSalmanKhan is not at fault at all..@arbaazSkhan @sonakshisinha. Kutta rd pe soyega kutte ki maut marega, roads garib ke baap ki nahi hai I ws homles an year nvr slept on rd @BeingSalmanKhan @sonakshisinha"
