Salman will have to notionally surrender and then furnish a bail bond of Rs 30,000 before the trial court grants bail. He will have to go personally to the sessions court once his lawyers get a copy of the bail order dictated by Judge Abhay Thipsay. After that Salman Khan is a free man.

The case comes up for appeal in the High Court by July or August.

The bottom line is that Salman Khan is a free man. He will not have to spend a day in jail.
