The Karnataka high court will pronounce its verdict on former Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithas appeal against her conviction under the Prevention of Corruption Act by a Bangalore court in September 2014.

While the Supreme Court granted her bail in the case on October 17 last year, it also directed the high court to dispose of her appeals by April 18. Subsequently, this deadline was extended till May 12.
