Kumar Vishwas row: DCW seeks Home Ministry's help
May 07, 2015  09:42
A day after Aam Aadmi Party leader Kumar Vishwas failed to appear before Delhi Commission for Women, Delhi Commission for Women's chief Barkha Shukla Singh said the panel has written to the home ministry, Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi and Delhi Lieutenant-Governor Najeeb Jung seeking intervention in the matter. Singh said despite being summoned Vishwas twice, the AAP leader did not appear before the DCW. "We just wanted to protect life of a woman," said Singh.
A female AAP volunteer has accused Vishwas of not rebutting "rumours" about an illicit liaison with her.
