No expression on Salman's face as court sentences him

Salman Khan had no expression on his face, no tears, head was tilted down when Judge DW Deshpande announced the 5-year jail term.

The defence had said that Salman Khan had already paid Rs 19 lakh in 2002 itself to the injured and that this was the first time compensation was given before the trial. He had asked the judge to consider this before delivering the quantum of sentence.

Public prosecutor Pradeep Gharat had pushed for the maximum punishment of 10 years to Salman Khan.

Salman likely to be taken to Arthur Road jail.
