Syed Firdaus Ashraf/Rediff.com reporting from the sessions court says that media and police have now started physically assaulting each other outside courtroom 52. And there is complete chaos. Inside the courtroom, Salman Khan dressed in a white shirt and jeans, is sitting in the witness box. He looks dejected and has been quiet. Firdaus said reports that Salman was weeping after he was convicted were untrue.


Sonil Dhedia/Rediff.com, says that the defence is arguing that the quantum of sentencing should be reduced looking at Salman's charity work.  Raised funds worth Rs 42 crore, heart surgery for 600 children.


Police has now shut the doors of courtroom 52 after spat with media, a section of the media stranded outside the courtroom.
