J-K CM: Rs 35 crore for flood relief, 24X7 control rooms

J&K CM Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on the situation in the flood-hit state:
-- Water levels are above the danger level but there is nothing to panic.
-- Adequate number of sandbags are being used.
-- I have released Rs 25 crore for Kashmir and Rs 10 crore to Jammu.
-- I have also had a telephonic talk with the Home Minister.
-- A NDRF teams have been sent from Centre.
-- We have three joint control rooms of the army and the police that are working 24X7.

The Jammu and Kashmir government today declared a flood situation in Kashmir Valley as Jhelum river crossed the danger mark in Srinagar following incessant rains.

The state authorities asked people living along the banks of river Jhelum and low lying areas to move to safer places.
