The Aam Aadmi Party is set for a stormy meeting of its national executive on Saturday where rival factions will square off in the next chapter of a bitter internal power struggle.

On the eve of the meeting, an audio tape emerged of a purported conversation between AAP leader and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and party colleague Umesh Singh.

In the tape played by television channels, a voice purported to be that of Kejriwal abuses his colleagues, including Yogendra Yadav, Prashant Bhushan, Anand Kumar and Ajit Jha.

He adds he has no interest in getting into the internal fight and may form a new party along with the 67 members of the legislative assembly who won election in the Delhi state polls in January that brought the AAP to power.

At a press conference on Friday, Yadav and Bhushan accused Kejriwal of abusing his position as AAP convenor and seeking to undermine internal democracy.
