Twitterati explode over channel's 'shamedinsydney' hashtag

Indian Twitter users are reacting in anger to television channel Times Now's vehement criticism of the Indian cricket team after its loss to Australia in the World Cup semi-final.

The channel slammed the team in a panel discussion immediately after the match and called for a discussion '#shamedinsydney' during its prime time Newshour show.

The Twitterati reacted immediately and #shameontimesnow soon began trending in India.

It is the top ranking trend in India and third worldwide. Sensing the anger, the channel seems to have withdrawn it 'shamedinsydney' hashtag and also deleted its previous tweets.
