Fully committed to my govt, my PM: General V K Singh reacts

Amid rumours swirlingt that he has tendered his resignation, General V K Singh, minister of state, external affairs, made a statement to clarify his position on his presence at the Pakistan Day reception, which also witnessed the presence of separatists.

He said, "I am a loyal member of the party. I have always said 'Nation comes first, always and every time."

He added, "I feel that it is important to clarify that I am fully committed to my government especially my PM."He also said that it was protocol that every MoS has followed in past.

He clarified that his tweets about 'duty' and 'disgust' were misinterpreted. He said, "I was disgusted about the way the media portrayed my presence at the reception. My patriotism was questioned."
