No objection to Hurriyat being invited to Pak national day: MHA

Home ministry reacts to J-K separatists participating in Pakistan's National Day celebrations in Delhi. The MEA in a statement said it had no objection to the Hurriyat being invited for Pak's national day.

The MEA was categorical in stating that the separatists in no way represented the Indian government.

The MEA said, "The government of India prefers to speak for itself. Let me reiterate there are only two parties and there is no place for a third party in resolution of India-Pakistan issues. The only way forward to proceed on all outstanding issues is peaceful bilateral dialogue within framework of Simla Agreement and the Lahore Declaration."
