Congress president Sonia Gandhi will lead a united Opposition march to the Rashtrapati Bhavan today to protest against the government's land acquisition ordinance.

Her decision to up the ante on the legislation virtually rules out any chance of reconciliation between the government and the Opposition with regard to the contentious bill.

Along with the Congress, the CPI(M), Trinamool Congress, Samajwadi Party, JD(U) will participate in the march. The march is being coordinated by JD-U President Sharad Yadav.

Meanwhile, a harried, but smiling Mani Shankar Aiyar smiles at the cameras as opposition leaders gather at the Gandhi statue near Parliament house.
