Reacting to India's statements on Pakistan government not doing enough to ensure Lashkar terrorist Zaki-ur Rehman Lakhvi stays in jail, Pakistan's Foreign Office spokesperson Tasneem Aslam has said: "It was a decision taken by the court. Indian government cannot interfere with the court proceedings. Court will take it out whenever it wishes to. How do you expect us to force the court?."

"Courts have their own pace and don't forget that in the Mumbai trial, for three years, access to evidence and our prosecutors visit to India was delayed," she said.

"There is also some need for introspection. What action has India taken against people like Swami Aseemanand and Col Purohit and a lot of military officers which in a way indicates involvement of Indian institutions," she told an Indian TV channel.
