In London tomorrow? Head to Parliament Square

The UK government will unveil a statue of Mahatma Gandhi in London's Parliament Square on Saturday 14 March.

The statue will be unveiled by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

The ceremony will feature live music and personal reflections from Mahatma Gandhi's grandson, and former Governor of West Bengal, Gopalkrishna Gandhi.

Doors to the event area will open at 09:15 and the event will take place between 10:00-11:00, during which time the public will be able to view the bronze statue in place at Parliament Square.
