'India's Daughter' premiers in US, it needs to be shown, says Freida

India's Daughter, the documentary on the December 16 Delhi gang rape, premiered in the United States last night.

Slumdog Millionaire's Frieda Pinto and Meryl Streep were among those who attended the event at New York's Baruch College. The screening started with a candlelight vigil honouring the Delhi braveheart.

India's Daughter "needs to be shown", Freida told BBC.
