Afzal Guru's remains WON'T be handed over to family

Amid repeated demands to hand over Afzal Guru's remains to his family, the home ministry has finally stepped forward and said that the demand cannot be made. In a statement, the home ministry said that Guru was, as per jail manual, buried in an unmarked grave, and so his remains can't be returned. 

It also added that the PDP's demand for the remains was denied as there were political motives behind the request. The 2001 Parliament attack Parliament attack case convict Mohammed Afzal Guru was hanged and buried inside the Tihar jail complex in February 2013.
