NIA gets 14 days custody of Burdwan blast suspect

A Kolkata court today remanded Burdwan blast accused and key JMB figure Noor-ul-Haque, who was arrested yesterday, to 14 days' custody of the National Investigation Agency till July 3. 

The remand order was passed by additional sessions judge Gopal Chandra Karmakar. 

The NIA counsel had sought a 14-day custody citing the gravity of the incident, its international ramifications and investigation into the conspiracy angle. 

Haque, alleged to be the financial brain behind the banned Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh terror outfit, was arrested by the NIA from outside Howrah railway station yesterday.
