PM hands over 'Bangladesh Liberation War Honour' award to Vajpayee

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Thursday to hand over the Bangladesh Liberation War Honour.

During the PM's visit over the weekend, Bangladesh conferred its prestigious liberation war honour on former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for his "active role' in its independence struggle and consolidating friendship with India.

PM Modi had received the honour on Vajpayee's behalf. President Abdul Hamid handed over the Bangladesh Liberation War Honour to PM Modi at a glittering ceremony at Bangabhaban.
