Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar reacts to Pakistan's warning to India over the Myanmar operation. Parrikar said today that those who fear India's new posture have started reacting.

On Myanmar's statement that operation was carried out outside the country, India has continued to assert that the operation was carried out in Myanmar. Parrikar said on Thursday morning that the Indian Army's operation to neutralise two camps of militants on Tuesday has led to a "change in mindset."

"Change requires a change in mindset. A simple action against insurgents has changed the mindset of the security scenario of the country," the Defence Minister said.

Terming Myanmar's stand as "diplomatic statement", India confirmed that the operation was "carried out successfully by Indian Army and two camps running in Myanmar were destroyed".

Parrikar also refused to divulge any details about the operation, but asserted that the operation by the army had "changed the mindset towards India".

This comes even as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked Minister of State of the PMO, Jitendra Singh, to visit Manipur and take stock of situation.

National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval is also slated to visit Myanmar to discuss further "joint action". Reports suggest he will also visit Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh.
