Why Shatrughan Sinha and Shashi Tharoor are sailing in the same boat

So, what are the similarities between Congress MP Shashi Tharoor and BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha?  According to the MPs from both parties, both are a pain in the neck for their leadership.

Sinha, for instance, became an almost-open rebel by meeting with Nitish Kumar on the evening of the day prime minister Modi strongly attacked the Bihar chief minister. If Modi has attacked the chief ministers performance in Bihar, Shatrughan Sinha has praised it.

As for Shashi Tharoor, after the sharp reprimand by Congress president Sonia Gandhi over his remarks that Parliament should not be disrupted, party MPs in the House today steered clear of him.

Some MPs said that Tharoor and Sinha will lower the image of their parties and may even be expelled or at least will be forced to resign.

Samajwadi Party MPs in the Central Hall on seeing Shatruhan Sinha, who is otherwise known as Bihari Babu, quipped that he is the entrant to the JDU. But insiders says SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav will oppose such an entry to the party as he feels that if JDUloses Bihar, 'outsiders' will abandon the party.

Incidentally, Rahul Gandhi is believed to be unhappy with Shashi Tharoor for his attendance at a workshop on Sustainable Development Goals at a Speaker's Research Initiative programme held in New Delhi. The PM praised Tharoor's speech at Oxford university London and said it had gone viral. Rahul conveyed his displeasure though a confidant.
