3 dead in terror strike in Punjab; encounter continues

Three persons have been killed and four injured in a gun battle, confirmed by the Home Ministry as a terror attack, in Punjab's Gurdaspur district.

The gunmen, who are believed to be in army uniform, targetted the Dinanagar police station.

According to reports, three or four attackers came in a white Maruti car and opened fire at the police station, killing a policeman on guard duty.

The gunmen are holed up inside the police station. The police have cordoned off the area.

Five live bombs have also been found on a railway track between Dinanagar and Pathankot.
