Sushma Swaraj is not the one to go down without a fight.

The external affairs minister, who is under fire over the Lalit Modi controversy, today launched a counter attack.

"A senior Congress leader was pressing me hard to give diplomatic passport to the coal scam accused Santosh Bagrodia," she tweeted this morning. "I will disclose name of the leader on the floor of the House."

Bagrodia is a former minister of state (coal) and an accused in the multi-crore scam that has even cast aspersions on former prime minister Manmohan Singh.

Swaraj has been under attack for lending help to former scam-tainted Indian Premier League chief to obtain British travel documents. The Opposition has been demanding her resignation.

Yesterday she said she was ready for a debate in the Parliament on the issue.
