Delhi govt equals Najeeb Jung, says LG office

Avind Kejriwal's latest confrontation with Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung is likely to spiral considerably, courtesy a letter that declares Jung is meant to function as the "government" of Delhi, reports NDTV.

The letter has been issued by Jung's office. It says the "Constitutional definition of 'Government' is the LG." Jung's missive was issued as he declared Kejriwal cannot appoint the head of the Delhi Commission for Women without his sanction. Kejriwal had picked Swati Maliwal, wife of an AAP leader, for the post, and denied "nepotism".
