The Jammu and Kashmir High Court stayed Farooq Abdullah's removal from the Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association, he continues to remain president. A sub-judicial court in the state stayed the elections. Hours earlier, Imran Ansari -- the sports minister of J&K -- had been elected president, but his appointment now stands cancelled after the court order stayed the cricket association polls.
