World-renowned climate scientist Dr Rajendra Pachauri, has expressed his delight at being allowed by a Delhi court to resume his duties as Teri chief.

"Teri has been my life's woprk. I remain deeply committed to Teri and its people and I'm delighted to rejoin my Teri colleagues and resume my duties," he said in a statement.

Dr Pachauri, who has been accused of obstructing  a police investigation into a sexual harassment case against him, has been permitted today to return to work at the  think-tank he founded, Teri.

Dr Pachauri was sent on long-term leave from the Energy and Resources Institute where the complainant still works. In February, he had been asked to stay away from the offices of TERI to ensure witnesses and the complainant were not intimidated or influenced.

The Delhi court today amended that order stating that Dr Pachuri, can visit all but two branches of TERI, including one where the complainant works.
