Former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi hailed Supreme Court-appointed high-level Committee's verdict banning Mahendra Singh Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals from the Indian Premier League for two years. In a series of tweets, Modi slammed N Srinivasan and the BCCI. He said that the two franchises should have been suspended permanently and have gotten away with lighter punishments of just two years. Modi also called for N Srinivasan's removal as ICC president.

In his concluding tweet, Modi said, "Great outcome for justice and integrity. No surprise first honest decision on Indian cricket and it comes from outside the BCCI."
