'Visit of 5 Central Asian nations is start of a new journey' Modi says in Uzbek

Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is on an eight-day visit to five Central Asian countries and Russia, today arrived in Uzbekistan marking the start of his visit.

During his banquet speech Modi commented upon how his visit to the five great nations of Central Asia is the start of a new journey for an ancient relationship.

He also thanked the Uzbek government for the permanent monument to former prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri.
