The army confirms that Col Munindra Nath Rai from 9 Gorkha Rifles who was Commanding Officer of 42 Rashtriya Rifles, was martyred in the anti-terror ops at Tral, J-K.

He had been awarded a YSM (Yudh Seva Medal) on January 26, 2015.
