Malini Parthasarathy takes over as Editor of The Hindu

Well-known journalist Malini Parthasarathy has been appointed as the Editor of The Hindu with effect from February 1, the Chennai-based newspaper announced today. She will be the first woman to hold the prestigious position. The statement said the Board of Directors of Kasturi and Sons Ltd. (KSL), publishers of The Hindu and Group publications, took the decision unanimously at its meeting yesterday.
