Congressmen Crowley, Ami Bera to travel with Obama to India

Congressman Joe Crowley, former co-chair of Congressional Caucus on India and Indian- Americans, would travel to India with US President Barack Obama.

Congressman Ami Bera, the onlyIndian-American lawmaker in the current Congress, has been invited by President Barack Obama to travel with him to India on Air Force One.

"It is an honour to join President Obama on this trip and I look forward to robust discussions on how we can open the next chapter in US-India relations," Crowley said in a statement.

Last week, Senator Mark Warner, co-chair of the Senate India Caucus had announced that he too would be travelling to India as part of the presidential delegation.
